Crunch Pzi 2250 2 ohm stereo or 4 ohm bridged?

Ok I have been running this amp for a couple of years now and was just bored wanted to tool around. I have two DVC 4 ohm 12's. right now I am running the amp at 2 ohms X2. My question is since the amp makes the same power at 4 ohms bridged wouldn't it be in my best interest to run it at 4 ohms for same power? This would lower current draw and make for a cleaner signal to the subs would it not? Running a stereo amplifier in mono mode for subwoofers has a few benefits...

You are currently running a "stereo" subwoofer setup, sometimes music recordings will intentionally place bass notes only to either the left or right channel(called stereo panning) so those songs will be a lot louder with the amp in mono mode. You'll also only have to run one pair of wires from the amp to the sub box instead of 2, so less wires.

Can't confirm this but I think that amp might make a bit more power in mono. Magazines always list the max output of a bridgeable stereo amp in mono mode but I'm not sure.

Yeah all you gotta do is wire the subs in series by themselves then parallel the two sets of wires at the terminal cup so you get a single 4 ohm load.

I may be late in the response, but many amps make equal power in two ohm stereo & 4 ohm mono. But similar to what is mentioned above, you have advantages of running in mono mode. The subs will have equal power and identical signals. This really sounds better especially when your enclosure has a common chamber for both drivers.
