How do you know those shitheads aren't going to beat you to DEATH? first choice, move the friggin' car, once the violence has started in my opinion you use whatever force you have available to you to make it not worth their while. Drawing a firearm in not a great option, but I like it better than putting my life in the hands of some dirtbag motherf@cker, hoping they have enough restraint to stop kicking me before I die. To hell with that. If it were me, I'd move the car, but once assulted by a group of street vermin, it's pretty easy to feel my life was in danger and I had no option but to utilize deadly force to protect myself and others in the area. Also, I have extensive training in handling firearms and spend about an hour aweek at the range shooting, so I'm confident I'll hit what I shoot, doubt the goons could hit the stinkin' car. You feel differently, and that's fine, you get to because this country was founded and protected on the backs of people strong enough to stand up for what is right. I will NEVER give up my freedoms to some gang thug street urchin. I am not naive (sp?) and think I'm some kind of action hero badass, and realize my choices may not be the safest, but if it's me or some *** clown scumbag, I'll shoot the prick in a second, and any other assholes that pull a weapon or act threatening to me and mine. If you don't agree, I frankly don't give a shit.

First off, I would have just moved my car. I wouldn't have even pulled in a parking space with that many people around. Secondly, I believe once you have been assaulted and there is a clear and imminent threat of even more violence, you would not serve a full life sentence for protecting yourself via the use of firearm.
