Used to own an example of the 225. 1/2 ohm stable.

from memory..

25X2 @ 4 ohms

50X2 @ 2 ohms

100X2 @ 1 ohm

200X2 @ .5 ohm

And it's bridgeable so 100 @ 4, 200 @ 2, and 400 @ 1.

I used mine for highs and loved it. never ran at 1/2 but saw setups that did...runs very hot but works. Don't think I would run "daily" @ 1/2 ohm.

I consider the 225 the original cheater amp. (Rated at 50 and produces 400!)

yea i had an orion 225 and 250, ran the 250 as a mono at 1 ohm and the thing slammed, rated at 100 watts and put out over 1000

the Orion will need a bridging module to be able to bridge it...but it is under rated I think tested they will pull about 550 into 1ohm...with old school efficient speakers...they were impressive

no bridging module needed, this is gen 2, has a button on the side to switch to mono.
