Glad you got some help with this. Crop Circles are some of the most fascinating things in our modern times. They have been around since 850 B.C. and there is much debate on what they mean and how they are made.
I've been looking into them for quite sometime and I think you'll find the Milk Hill circle from 2001 in Wiltshire is the most intriguing. It's over 800 ft. in diameter and is a total of 409 circles in all. This is my favorite one so far, and I don't think it "man-made." No, I don't think they are all alien-made, but the Milk Hill circle, if it is man-made, would take an army of people, leaving no footprints and they only had the time of night. Some of them defy time if they were man-made.
One of the most interesting things about the Milk Hill circle, is that if you spin it counter-clockwise, it forms an almost 4 dimensional spiral. That, and the fact that a guy used it's mathmatical geometry in some way and layed it on top of the baseline frequency of 1.618, the PHI ratio (if you know what that is...). He actually derived a very soothing tone from it and in essence made a perfect sine wave that was completly organic. This can all be found here:

I'm not going to write your paper for you, but Milk Hill would be one to pick as a focus to blow your professor (or teacher's) mind with all the info. that's out there.
You're going to find some "weird" sites if you choose to see it that way, but it's only weird because some don't understand.
Hope this helps you a little.
