My sub amp is only rated at 1500 watts rms at 1 ohm. will (edit)1200 or so get this thing moving at all?

hell yea.

I have a 1500d in the garage. I will take some video with it, and on a 3000d.

give me a day or 2, for the video.

The sub may not last that long at this price though.

your amp puts out 1500+ that is enough to get really loud with this thing, especially ported.
