Creating a Sound Quality system -- Help!?

Ok, I'm attempting to put together a SQ dedicated system into a Honda pilot. Already I have a Pioneer Premier DEH-960P. At this point I'm not worried about the sub, I have a temp solution, but that can wait.

At the moment, I have one set of components to be installed in the front of the vehcile, CDT EF61s, 6.5s, and a set of directed audio studios for the rear, also 6.5.

My questions are these: Is it better for SQ to have the second set of components, or should I get a midbass or rearfill for the back doors.

Or better still, ditch the rear speakers entirely and drive more power to the fronts? I did that in my old Chevy Blazer fullsize and it was a tremendous difference. Don' t know how the rear seat passengers felt, but didn't really care.

Second, for a sound quality amp (using a visonik as a placeholder right now), what is the best amp for say around $300 to 400 running 100x4 RMS?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks all!

i'd get a JL 450/4 which is only 100 more and puts 150 too the fronts and 75 too the backs. Later on you can use that for a fully active setup which will sound great.

Also in most cases you could just do fronts and that would probably sound better, but a pilot isn't a small vehicle and it might sound very shitty in the back, or just empty.

I will have to agree/disagree on the XENON. I'd pick the XENON as well, it's the modle ## that I would change. I'd go w/the X200.4, More coin I know, but worth it if you're going to use the rear two channels for a sub. Go for PGs XENON X10d2 for your sub, It's geared more for SQ.

Well, It looks like I'm going to do the full component set in the rear, this will be a family car eventually (God willing) so when I do the DVD system I'll need them. So I'm going to do the 100x4 Xenon, and then another Xenon for the Sub.

ON the sub, I like the Xenon sub, but I was looking at the new JL W1 subs, with the small box requirements. Anybody used them?

if Ascendent had any subs in stock i'd recommend an ava or an atlas in a nice sealed box...i personally haven't heard either one of them...but i've heard great things about their SQ and even their nice output in small sealed boxes...
