Cranked all the way

I can crank the volume all the way with no distortion and it's not all that loud. I'm wondering if the digital gain on the alpine amps have anything to do with it. They are set to 4v and my HU puts out 5v. Any ideas?

set your gains again?

raise the sub level all the way up and it'll prolly distort at 3/4-80% volume

set the gain with a dmm to what the amp is rated at the ohm load you are running, or set to what the sub is rated at.

The only options for the gains are 2.5v, 4v or 8v. I'm thinking new amps or am i missing something?
