Crack/scratch on brand new sub :(

my girlfriend put her groceries in my trunk, milk fell and hit my sub. its a 12 inch rockford fosgate p2 600w sub. I cant tell if it actually cracked it, or if its just a scratch. its only about an inch long on the front of the sub itself. do I have anything to worry about? I rly thing it may just be a scratch. thanks guys

Picture? The main way to tell will be listening to it. If it's just a scratch on the dust cap it should be purely cosmetic.

is like a plastic cover on the p2's thats looks like that right?

if so i use to have 2 of them i bought off cl for $20 that was exactly like that

never affected the actual subs

Sounds to me that it is cosmetic only. If it is indeed a gaping crack, then plastic-plactic adhesive could fix her up (p2's dust caps are plastic IIRC?)

You should be just fine. Maybe invest in some kind of grill, bars, etc as protection against groceries and other things that could damage it. 10-20$ should be plenty to find something.

Many people see the lower tiers of more "mainstream" brands as inferior. And I don't want to dive into the technical comparisons to prove anyone right or wrong on this...

To me, if the user is happy, that's all that matters.
