Court Situation.. What would you do?

Ok Back in 04 I got caught stealing lol.. ya i'm ashamed of it but i was young and dumb but whatever I paid the ticket 450 and got 2 years probation. So whatever done with put it behind me.. Now just today 5 years later.. They sent me a letter saying I still owe the money WTF? This is my first letter ever from this and i'm like wtf most the time court sends a lot of letters and adds fees etc. So i'm trippin out I call the court and they say "Ya you owe the money nothing we can do" Actin like straight *****es.. I ask if i can see the judge they say nope you have to pay period. So i hung up and call back hoping to get someone more helpful get some ***** lady whos like "didnt you just call" "you owe the money bottom line!" Im like well im requesting statements from my bank to show i paid it where would i take that when i got proof? shes like .. "Well you can uhh bring it here and we can see what we can do but you owe the money" Im like wtf and jus hang up.. WTF??? What you guys think about this.. 5 years later? no added fees and first letter after 5 years saying i still owe this and i have no warrants nothing. Sorry if grammar is ****ed just little heated and trying to type this out fast..

5 years is a long time, I got a notice last year about a ticket that was 2 years old (that I knew I didnt pay)

I just didnt call or look into it, and it seems to have vanished.....

Dont be a dumbass.

If you dont pay a ticket your licence is suspended. Have fun if you get pulled over or in an accident on a suspended licence.

Keep up with that shit.

In Ontario because shit is soo backed up people get notices in the mail that due to the length of time before their case went to trial their charge has been dismissed..

And once in a while you get lucky and shit gets ****ed up and your ticket gets lost.

****ing never happens tho.. so dont be a dumbass..

Edit: Actually in Ontario if your case has gone longer than 8 months before going to trial you can go through a procedure to have the case dismissed.

Pay it. I got into a fight when I was 18 and caught a case. I paid all the fines and did the community service about three years later I get a not saying I owed like 50 - 100 I cant remember. I called they said that they went through old records and found it. Lots of people they said were at the court paying up
