first of all, W0 is not an spl sub for the most part, JL subs are mostly geared toward SQ, and the W0 is pretty much the bottom line sub from them. And yes, that leak could be hurting your performance, seal that thing up. If you are looking to get louder, definitely port them if you have the proper space for it. As far as the truck situation goes, i dont have a lot of insight for u, but i have heard setups in a couple firebirds where the subs were in the backseat, somewhat similar to having them in the back of your cab. And i think they hit harder when they are right behind u, but they dont give you that shaking and vibrating bass that i think you get in a car or SUV.
