Just to be clear and fair...I have full intentions of personally absorbing the cost if any for my ecentrics. I have had the pleasure of listening to some very nice home audio systems. Speakers specifically being a very large part of that equation. I was putting the same emphasis into my autos build. Not trying to seem aloof in my stated desire but mainly priortize how/where the budget is used. I attempted to purchase an Eclipse 7200 for the build but was notified they were back-ordered. Wanting this for a trip I decided to use the available Kenwood. Though I must say the initial "feel" of the high-end Kenwood leaves much to be desired. My original criteria was to build a system into a Chevy Tahoe for near 3-4K. I let my desires be known toward the Chinese marketed stuff and left the component decision up to the installer. My last high-end car audio purchase was in 1996. It included an Alpine deck, RF amp and woofer and a set of MB quart components and a custom box into a fullsize pickup. In hindsight I truly believe it sounded better than what I just purchased.
