Yup, he's dead.

Miami-Dade County police Detective Carlos Maura said officers were called to the University Inn Condominiums new the University of Miami after an altercation at a party early Friday morning.

Police said four people were partying inside an apartment. A security guard went to the apartment to quiet the revelers, but got into a scuffle with a man inside.

The altercation ended up in the street. Police said that when Coral Gables officers arrived at the scene one officer used a Taser to subdue the belligerent man. Police said the man looked to be high on some type of narcotic.

"They had to deploy the electronic control device," Maura said. "He was taken into custody. He had some kind of medical situation. Coral Gables Fire Department responded. They transported him to Doctor's Hospital where he was pronounced deceased."

Officials identified the man as 29-year-old Xavier Jones. He was a father and carpenter from Opa-locka.

"I'm sad for my son because he loves his father," said the mother of Jones' child.

David Kligrer lives at University Inn and said he heard the noise.

"I know that there was a party," Kligrer said. "It got out of control. One of the students got Tasered and he didn't make it."

One student who spoke with NBC 6 said the commotion woke her up and she called police.

"All I heard were screams and I knew something was wrong," she said.

Nela Caron also lives in the condominiums and said she saw the man yelling and jumping in the middle of the street.

"He looked like he wanted to get himself killed, honestly, being in the middle of the street like that. Our guard was trying to stop the traffic," Caron said.

Paramedics administered epinephrine to Jones to counteract the drugs in his system, but it was ineffective.

Tasers used on people who are high on drugs are known to cause heart attacks, authorities said.

"I never thought that Tasering could be deadly," Kligrer said. "I hope that police used proper procedure in everything they did."

NBC 6's Gray Hall reported at that least 20 officers responded to the scene. The investigation caused U.S. Highway 1 to be closed for several hours.

The officer involved is on paid administrative leave. Authorities said autopsy results will be available in about a week.

See, useless motherfvckers piss me off.

The police offer tased this guy, who just so happen to be geeked out of his mind, and the guy dies of a heart attack or overdose or something due to the fact that he was geekd up. Okay, adding on to the story. If the officers were to have subdued the subject and he was resisting, if they would have used anything other than their hands, they would have gotten sued for brutality or some other worthless ********.

Does anyone else get pissed off by this ****? Yes, some police officers take it too far, and when they do, they hshould be punished or whatever is deemed as necessary to make the point. However, I would assume in a situation like this, the woman will be suing for the deaht of her husband and her sons father, and getting a fairly large chunk of change. The Officer will lose his job, at least, and probably go to jail for some ********.

Cops are acknowledged for having a bit more power than the common citizen and being one of the few links between us, and anarchy due to fvcking idiots - no?

Sorry, most of that was probably stupid. /Rant.

It's simple, don't be an idiot with cops and you'll be ok. I can't stand when people ***** about things like this. If I was a cop and things start going bad I'd be as protective as possible too, they make **** money and risk their lives everyday. Cops don't get any respect and I hate people that think cops are the enemy.
