Cops shoot and kill armed man near me

Today I was at my uncles house celebrating my little cousins birthday. My uncle then told me what happened today around 12 noon when he went outside. He went outside because he heard some yelling and what sounded to be like banging on his garage. He goes outside to find a man standing about 10-15ft away from him carrying a big knife (uncle said blade was about 1ft and about 3-5inches thick) and the cops yelling at my uncle and aunt to go back inside the house. The suspect kept looking back at my uncle and the cops as if he was thinking of charging at my uncle to take him hostage but I guess he didn't thinking the cops would open fire.

Few minutes later the whole block was surrounded by cops about 20 cops were there. They surrounded and closed the block. The man was walking around with a knife in one hand and a metal stick in the other (probably to break glass and to fight with). The guy was running sideways up and down the block as if he wasn't sure what to do, like if he was friend on drugs and confused (my uncle said). He would run crouched down for some reason.

The suspects grandfather and uncle then show up to the seen and tell the cops who the suspect is. He use to be in the army for the United States but was taken out of war almost 3 years ago. The grandfather said that he was on medication because he has sudden out breaks where he thinks that he is still in war and see's everybody around him as enemies. He tried attacking his grandfather and uncle before he ran loose on the block. He had also broken up with his girlfriend a few days ago. If you see this story on the news they will use the excuse that "he was depressed about his break up with his gf". They also don't mention that he was in the army and was on medication.

Anyways back to the story...the guy ends up running down the block looking for a back yard to get into. He see's a gardner outside and grabs him hostage. He stabs the guy 15 times! Thats when a woman (police officer) shot the suspect two times and killed him!

That was some crazy shit. People on the block thanked the cops and called them hero's because it appeared that he was going to start jumping back yards and the next door neighbors had 5 of their kids outside playing in the yard...the guy most likely would have murdered all of them.

that sounds like some guyanese ghetto sh!t...only thing the cops would have killed the dude since they arrived and then try and find out who he was...

Cops didnt want to shoot obviously...the guy ran at the cops one time my uncle said and my uncle thought they were going to kill him right there but the cops ran back instead...the had alot of patience with this guy....they had him running up and down the block almost an hour...but once he stabbed that gardner the first clear shot they had they opened fire

No man that guy was crazy! He looked like he was on X or something he wouldn't even talk...he would just look up into the sky and swing his knife in the air...only time he looked forward was when he made eye contact with people or when he was running...the guy stabbed a guy 15 times! Shoot to kill man

I swear thats what he would do...then fold his hands together as if he were praying but with his knife inbetween them...that sucks...I had a talk with his grandfather after he was shot...he told me thats what the army can do to some people...he see's everybody as a possible enemy...in Iraw some of his friends were blown up by little kids that they thought were going to thank them or give them a drink or something. The grandpa told me that he took medication for sudden outbreaks like these

Not really the cops fault...they were just doing their job...if they wouldnt have shot the guy he possible would have kid the whole family next door
