I try to convince my friends that want to be a cop, not to be one. Mainly because its a dangerous field to get into. And they dont make near enough money for what they do or go through. IMO

My friend just finished the academy for NYPD and has been working for about 3 weeks now...he's got to stay on foot for around 6 months, he's stationed in midtown Manhatten, loves it so far.

I've been contemplating it for a little bit now, too...

my college room mate became a cop after school. he likes it alot, and he always has great stories about taking people down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . but, there is an unbelievable amount of paperwork involved with being a police officer...

for the average incident, whether it ends with an apprehension or not, he has about 2-3 hours of paperwork to fill out.
