Ok i have a 2000 Denali and i am about to buy 4 CVR 15"s tomorrow...i really want them but the box is gonna have to be aroundd 19 cu ft. i know it would be crazy loud but im currently finding it hard to justify the extra money in gas, $460 for the subs, $200 for misc stuff (wiring, box...) i love bass but idk...i always get this way before i buy but my friend always convinces me...but hes on vacation. so help me out here...should i? or is it just too much? that money could be MUCH better spent. ie..new billet grill, gas, drinks, friends, food haha..being that im 17 food is a major part of my life:laugh: Just lookin for some input on what people think...what would you do in my situation?

does it really matter you are 17 and drive a 2000 Denali your probably going to wreck it anyways so have fun and waste money on it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

true that....... this girl i know was 16 and her dad got her a brand new slk wrecked 4 days later

yeah because I am talking out of my ***, Care to look up the % of teenagers who crash their first cars? STFU
I didn't have one single wreck in my first car - at fault or otherwise.

I did tear the rear-end out of it by driving in the manner that most 15 yr olds drive - then also factor in that my first car had a big-block and a big 4bbl which = assinine driving by a teenager (I'm old enough that when I was 15 Louisiana allowed you to have a driver's license - not a permit - at age 15) and that was the reason the car was gotten rid of....but no wrecks. Not the 1st one.

Matter of fact I didn't have my first at-fault accident until I was 22. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

To the OP - buy the subs, man. (A) You'll enjoy the fark out of them (B) Even if you get rid of the Denali the subs can be transplanted into whatever replaces it and © CompVRs seemingly enjoy decent resale value as they are a more than competent driver....plus you're getting them Buy1 Get1....what more reason do you need?!? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

ok man first of all no. im not an idiot. ive been in 2 car crashes...neither of which i was driving for. my friend totaled his car with me inside when he swerved to avoid a dog on a VERY dark road around 12am and jumped the guard rail and missed a tree by 3 inches. 4 of my friends were driving home from a party about a month ago drunk and hit a telephone pole doing around 50. major injuries but none life threatening. so DO NOT call me a stupid teenager. i have never had anything to drink and driven. and i wont. ive seen my friends in the hospital with broken ribs, legs, and arms so dont give me that shit about how all teenagers drink and drive and die. **** you. ill be the first to admit im not a super experienced driver but dont make the mistake of thinking im a bad driver. and also dont think the car was given to me...i found it..asked my parents for some financial help. i put down $2000 up front and pay $300 a month. i work 3 **** jobs to keep my car and my stereo habit. so dont judge me man

Congratulation you have succeeded in beating the statistics

yeah I can't blame you for tearing out the rear end with a big block and being 15 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I too haven't been in an accident and am 20, but then again I drive overly careful most of the time because I know the statistics on teen/young drivers well that and I learned to drive in a chevy 2 ton pickup towing a trailer anywhere from 15-30' and usually drove them into densely populated areas like Oakland, and San Francisco.

o and this isnt my first car. that car was sold when a family member got rearended in it. anyways thats besides the point. i wasnt asking about your views on teeen driving. if youre not responding to my question then please refrain from posting worthless garbage

peace

You are a complete fvck tard, Did I say you are a stupid teenager? NO I didn't until now. I didn't even say shit about drinking and driving so STFU on all that bullshit Also I know the car wasn't given to you I read that in other threads you posted in, as a matter of fact you should try reading more often before you try to lunge out on me buddy... I may have not told you what you wanted to hear but its statistically true, if you don't want to hear the truth then don't start stupid *** threads asking for some one to tell you your cool because the car you drive or because the system you can't even decide on your own to put in,

wow man...im not going to crash my car. please leave my thread. i do not care what your opinion is. im not asking for someone to tell me im cool....? not sure where that came from. if u could leave so that people actually looking to be a lil helpful could answer i would appreciate it. im tired of u. good bye

I'd spend that money doing shit with friends. The weight added to the SUV would be too much. Tire/brake/gas, and other factors just arn't worth it. Specially since u are still kinda young, i dont know if u have a good income.

What's wrong with ur current setup?

ya the minimum is 3 but whats the point in having 4 15"s if youre gonna run them at the minimum airspace? so between 12 and 20 sq ft...plus port...and bracing...box is goiing to be designed by IonSQL so ill see what he says.

Phyphoestilic....im kinda leaning that way..i mean i can afford to do it and pay for gas and maintenence but idk...one of the main reasons i got the car was for snowboarding in the winter...and if the back if full that would be harder. plus i really like the way the car is now.
