Contact cement sprayable?

I've done a lot of searching and I'm just looking for a more practical way to adhere the carpet to the box without having to spend $10 a can for super 77. My question is is the regulay home depot contact cement sprayable? If so what kind of sprayer will work with it? Will the $10 harbor freight sprayer gun work with it?

Go to a Harbor Frieght and get a crap 20$ spray gun and then junk after you use it. There's some guns that are intended for the CC but they are pretty pricey.

I'm guessing it will clog it up when it dries. will mineral spirits fix this if I were to clean after every use

Doesn't seem to work to well. Maybe if you dis-mantle the entire gun you can clean it real good. Just soak it in a bucket of laquer thinner.

will work and will not clog beleive it or not

just gets gummy on the tip pull the dried stuff off and shot again
