Connecting inline fuse to power wire

hey i just bought a monster cable amp wiring kit with an inline fuse holder. This wire connecting to the fuse is connected all around. I seen a couple of other fuse holders that was stripped at each end. Do i have to cut the wire to connect it to the power wire? If you don't understand what i am trying to say, give me any info. you know on connecting this fuse holder.

I believe what you are saying is that the fuse holder has a "loop" of wire and the fuse holder in the top of the loop.....you do need to cut it in the center of the bottom of the loop, andsplice into each end of the wire
