In the sense that the length of the connector is manufacture specific. I have used only ASUS boards since I have started building computers, and therefore have a stockpile of ASUS connectors. They are relatively short, but I know they will fit ASUS boards. Other connectors are available.

In fact, upon looking, I have two connectors in front of me. The only difference is length. Thanks for the comment!

I used the memory for about a month. It was memtested about a little over a month ago, no errors. I ran each stick individually, and then both sticks in dual channel.
