Have you ever even worked on a computer? Seriously? this is 101 level computer stuff. You really need to quit suggesting all these radical solutions. He's obviously not running a gaming rig, the stock cooling system is going to be fine. Dust builds up on the heatsink, forming an insulating barrier around the fins, decreasing the amount of heat the heatsink can draw out. Also over prolonged periods it will hold more heat than a cleaned one. All of which leads to the fan running more often and at a higher RPM. In 4 years of doing computer maintainence i have NEVER had to replace the thermal paste, even on OEM jobs. But I get to clean out dust nearly 1-2 months.
