Comps on HU

I am looking for a nice set of comps that will get loud somewhat and decent midbass and sound good is my main concern even though i will have no amp on them in the future possibly but now only stock HU in a 01 altima for the power

75 dollars is my budget so which would you go with the phoneix gold rsd's or this kicker comp set

The stock speakers in the car has a set of 6 1/2 comps in the front and not sure on the back but for now i am wanting to replace the fronts since they are pretty much blown, and i figure the one with the highest sensitivty will get louder on little power so which set will give me the best sound and most midbass possible on little power.

alright... i have the same car.. the back is the same.. the stock speakers in our car were the worst i have ever heard in any car.. i cranked up the h/u to blow them purposefully.. then i bought new ones.. be careful up front there is not much mounting depth.. you may want to get custom kick panels if you want to get serious component sets or spacer them to hell and seal it up good with clay or something

not looking to spend alot of money man so no kick panels i need something in the 75 shipped range like the rsd's how does aftermarket comps work on stock HU power, also for the back its just a 6.5mid woofer back there right.

and for the tweets there is room where the stock tweets are to put aftermarket tweets right??

how would the rsd's upfront and the phoneix gold rivals i think it is the coax's speakers in the back i can get all 4 for 105 shipped, how would that sound on HU power

I am not sure about fitment, but when I upgraded stock speakers to run off the OEM HU in my RX-8 I went with Infinity Reference. Cheap, esp on Ebay, very efficient, and a vast improvement over stock.

That said, I am going to upgrade them in the near future once my new HU is in...

find something higly efficient like infinitys kappas. You will think it's loud since the tweeters are so bright and with the little power you'll be clipping the internal amp so more distortion = louder feeling.

... just wait and buy an amp when you'll have to cash. Components need more powers.

if I ever hear someone talking about running off HU power right away my mind goes to infinity. Check out their components. Some of them are 2 ohm but work fine off HU power. Since the HU is 4 ohm into a 2 ohm speaker you will basically get double the power. If I am wrong about that correct me but I thought that was how it worked w/o all the technical jargon.
