Components to hookup to my Elemental Desisns Nine.2?

I have that amp (100 rmx x 2) and i used to have CDT EF61's. My issue with those was the tweeter picked up low frequencies for some reason on some songs, and would distort. Also there was a lack of midbass, less midbass then most factory systems. Aside from that, they sounded extremely crisp and clear.

I won't be buying them again, i want something new now. My budget is 200 or below, and I want someting with soft but crisp highs, and nice mids. Any ideas? Also, it must be new, no used speakers for me. Any rainbows or A/D/S speakers in that price range? Ive also read on here that EF 61's aren't known for their midbass, which is all the more reason for me to stay away this time. Thanks guys!

rainbow SLCs are 230 dk about a/d/s
setup correctly, you'll love them
what do you mean by "setup correctly? I was really looking for something that is simple to setup really, i wasn't going to do an active setup or anything.

hmm, forgot about shipping. Actually, gonna have to make it 200 or below now, to cover shipping. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

What about the Rainbow SLX line?

ok, i just checked and the prices on those don't seem that great, plus it doesn't sound like they have manufacturers warranty. Still want to find out abotu rainbows though. Aren't there any rainbow comp sets that are good and 200 bucks or below?

setup correctly= proper tweeter location, gasket behind the mids, etc etc.

theyll still sound good slapped in, but if you take the time to find out whats best for your vehicle, you'll be amazed

and you could try the elemental designs 6000's ive heard very good things about those

6000s = $95 and not released just yet - should be any day now (maybe after CES)

6500s = $250 right now - should go back on forum discount for $185 soon which is a REDICULOUS price for these!!!!!! even at $250, they're a steal!!

SlC are simple. Just hook up the crossovers after the amp then to the speakers. Tunning is simply nothing more than turning on an 80hz highpass filter.
