Apparently, after a management change at Monitor, they discontinued them. Only a few sets were ever made. They are beautiful, very solidly built and well worth the money, a steal really. His reserve price then was $150. Actually, the 5.25" set is a better buy dollar for dollar at only $99.</p><p></p><p>Like all metal cone Monitor Audio speakers they need a "break-in" period before they sound their best. I just finished breaking mine in for about 48 hrs and they are fantastic. Clear, crisp with a mid-bass that hits hard.</p><p></p><p>Because they were only available for a short time there is no real info on the web.
