i have never been to a comp in my life..dont really kno what bass race is and how they measure the db's (as in what makes it go up and down),

so what makes a person being able to compete...how good does their stuff gotta be in order to compete..i kno there are classes and stuff..

so point to make is... how would my 15 inch soundsplinter do with 1000 at a competition. there is one coming soon near hear a small and local one and was wonderin if i should or just stay away and watch and not get laughed at LOL

i went to a comp here and it was my first (and only). i had this setup and i got 2nd (out of 2) in my class. 135.4db. i was beat by an S10 with 2 12" something... i didn't care to look. it was a joke of a comp

I had 800 watts on 2 12's my first and beat a few people.

Drag is like a drag race, You pull up in the lane, They have 2 side by side. Wait for the start guy to start you and let her wang. You have 30 seconds to post your best score and the usually have a monitor up with lane 1 and lane 2. The winner has the highest number of course.

edit: cost me $30 for "2 runs" the first being when they find your peak, the second immediately after to post the score. and i fcked it up nice...

I hit a 142.1 usaci with those 800 watts I was talking about earlier in a trunk.

The 800 is a guestimation. It's a kenwood kac and I guess they are over rated a bit.
