Comfortable power for a 15" HC

Alright guys, now that i have my car im budget is insanely limited :/ And i have 1 15 to many.. What kind of amp will power a 15 HC comfortably, i cant afford to give it 1200rms, but hopefully i can get like 400-600 rms.. Would that be enough? It wont damage it or anything?

Tim
Less wont damage it at all, as long as the gains are set accordingly of course, 600 watts should be just fine, possibly look into a JBL 600.1 or what are you looking to spend?

You can pick up a brand new Lanzar 1200d off of etronics for 214.99 shipped last time I checked. That would work well and is pretty good amp for the cost. Its been tested to actually do 1200 watts.
