well i'm going to a community college and am getting an associates in business administration. well i was suppose to graduate this semester. i have like 85 credits and my advisor said i have all my credits. well i go apply for graduation, and find out i need one more fucking class. this summer i have to take a music class in order to graduate. just one stupid music class. i have to sing now, in order to get a business degree. this pisses me off cause i made plans to move to detroit at the end of this semester. i sold a lot of my **** to build up cash for a place to live, scouted out jobs, told realitives and friends i'd be back in the area, hell i came so close to buying season tickets to the tigers. now i'm stuck up in this **** pit to take one stupid music class.

We're all going through the same ****.

Two year program?
3 year program. they have an agreement with the university where i can take 3 years here, then transfer and only take 1 year for a bachelors.

been going here for 4 years now, and that includes a couple summer semesters along the way

You can't take a "music appreciation" lecture or something?

Most of the people here that have creative/art requirements just take an "Art History" lecture and get it over with...I still need to take it actually, oops.

Sometimes the classes that seem the worst turn out for the better. I got more dates out of my public speaking class then any other so far...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Are you transfering to a 4 year university or just taking your associates and stopping? If your transferring, the 4 year university would probably let you take it at their campus, and then once that was completed you could start your classes towards your major. Just an idea, or just move and take your last class at a community college near your new location. They are all over the place so im sure there are a few in detroit.

Why singing? Only elective available?

well i have to take either a music class, art class, or theater. i'd take the theater but they don't offer it in the summer so then i wouldn't get my degree till december and that would **** up my transfer. they also don't offer a beginers art course in the summer, so i don't meet the prerequisites for the art classes they offer

Didn't have to sing in my class. Had to watch a few musicals though, which I didn't mind. We also had to attend two on-stage preformances of our choice.
