Clipping Led

Hey for some reason when the bass hits when i turn the volume up. I will see the Clipping LED on my amp blink on and off. It is not a constant stay on but it will blink on and off sometimes when the bass hits on some songs. And other songs it wont do nothing. I am wondering why does it do this? Is that fine? I was reading that clipping is bad but ehmmm it sounds good to me just the clipping light will blink on and off.. Sometimes.

i was just dickking around. your prob only clipping when your amp is reproducing lower frequencies and not too bad if its only blinking. maybe back down the gains a tiny bit

True, but clipping = distortion, no?

If you just wanna bump a lilbit and it's only blinking, probably OK, but I think technically it's distorting ... Somebody confirm?

it may be clipping the sine wave little enough that its not even causing audible distortion.in this case your prob doing no damage at all. check to see how warm subs/amp are running. if you are concerned about it tho like i said you could always back it off the gains just enough to stop the clipping light from coming on

I got the clipping light to stay off..

I adjusted the gains a little and that fixed the clipping light from coming on. It might come on for a quick second but nothing big.. So i dont think its going to hurt anything. I also turned up the boost and readjust the gains. So i also gained some bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
