Clear coat residue on windshield! Agh!

I recently had my hood repainted and clearcoated...theres a problem. The guy that did the work for me didnt cover the entire windshield, just a small strip on the bottom.

Its perfectly clear where he covered the windshield, but for the most part, the entire thing got a dusting of clearcoat. Only the bottom say...5" doesnt have any. Ive tried orange clean and other stuff to take it off, but nothing has really worked. I can scratch some of it off with my fingernails, but of course that leaves lines. Should i try acetone? Are there any other solvents that will take the clear coat off of the windshield?

i'd try acetone, and possibly a razor blade alone and some lubricant (glass cleaner or acetone)

dude that is BS i would take it back and make the painter do it... that is just MO
