Because the classifieds is the biggest part of the forum.

goob wanted to see how things would flow with the classifieds moved to the top since thats where the majority of the traffic goes.

How do you get that? The car audio classifieds is hugely popular on here already. My theory is, if it's even more popular, then the rest of the forum will follow. The fact is, the vast majority of visitors to this site are interested in purchasing car audio, so the classifieds seems appropriate to be at the top.

So you would never go to CACO because they mention classifieds in their name right ?

it's fine if your looking at it in that aspect. but for me i look at it in more the educational value. if first timers see the classifeds first they go in see what they want bla bla bla, kinda like stores do. but i'm worried about ppl actually learning and getting an education from the site. like u said they are interested in purchasing car audio so if you put it at the top they'll go there and no where else. whereas they could "browse" and learn about purchases if it wasn't.

Thats the connections you are making. This is an audio site, where most traffic is generated through the classifieds. CACO is an audio site where most traffic is through classifieds, our classifieds section is first on the forum, they mention classifieds in their name so when you visit either site, you can tell what is actually bringing the traffic.

i'm not making no connectons. i asked what i did because the first thing i thought of is what goob said but also thought about how it's always been an advertising tactic. think major stores. i was first "drawn" to this site because i thought it was a place to further educate ppl. and it is but with the classifieds "being the most trafficed" does it matter where u put it? if it's at the bottom ppl will "browse" for it and gain knowledge then pass on where they got the knowledge from. but that's just the way i see it.

If you see it like that then just flip the sections, if people are searching and find us, they can browse and find that this site offers a lot of knowledge too.
