Clarion NX501 + iPod ID3 Artwork

I've been using a iPod Nano 2nd gen with my Clarion NX501 for the past year, but unfortunately it was stolen out of my truck last week, so I have just bought a 7th Generation iPod Classic to replace it. All ID3 info (album/track/artwork etc) displayed on my NX501's screen with the nano, however the ID3 Artwork does not display when using the new classic.

Has anyone used a Clarion NX501 with a iPod Classic? If so, were you able to get the artwork to display correctly?

Update: I deleted my iTunes library, created a new one, restored my iPod to factory settings, then re-synced. The ID3 album artwork now displays correctly on the NX501.
