Clarion DXZ 725 TROUBLES

I have a Clarion DXZ 725 head unit i bought in 2004 and was slightly used.... im guessing its atleast 2001 or newer, no idea the year manufactured. In the last year when yur listening to it for an hr or 2 it would get really hot. You take the cd out and its soo hot u can hardly hold on to it.

Well once it gets hot it randomly stops playing for liek 3 seconds... then starts playing again.. its like a pause but without pushing the button. In the recent past it has gotten worse.... does it even when the cd player isn't hot...... I dont know if the reciever is just getting old or what the deal is. any feed back would be great.

Can you send it in and see what they say?

The board may of gotten too hot and melted something, resulting in shut offs at high temps

Are you able to send head units in? i wasnt aware of that. what do u think i should do to find out if i can.
