Just purchased a DRZ, along with a DCZ625 changer.
After searching the forums for install/compatability questions:
In addition to the changer, I'd like to stream via my Iphone.
From what I've read, it looks like this requires an extra piece of gear like an Pure i20. Then, run
the Pure i20 into the DRZ via the Aux RCA's or the optical input. Saw a good video that shows how to reconfigure the Pure i20 for car installation by removing most of it's plastic shell / dock etc ... and then using an alternative 12v power supply for the 7.5 volts the i20 needs.
But, I wonder if just using a 30 pin to lightning optical cable from the Iphone directly into the optical input on the DRZ would work -- and presumably this would use the DRZ's D/A converter for the Iphone's output ?
As a much more simple alternative, I've read that several folks have streamed from their Iphones via the 3.5mm headphone out jack into a DRZ auxiliary input - but does the sound suffer much from this type of connection ?
Using some good amps (McIntosh, Xtant) and decent speakers (Rainbow, CDT) so trying to get as much quality signal as I can work with ...
Anyone with experience on the DRZ and streaming, or recommendations ... I would welcome and appreciate your opinions.
