citi bank credit protector

hey guys, as you might have read/heard about in the news, circuit city laid off over 3000 associates. my question is..I have a citi bank platinum mastercard, with a large balance on it. I also have the "Credit Protector" which states if i lose my job i can have deferred payments for up to 24 months.

does anyone have experience using this service? I googled it and all it was is just a coupon scam they said citi cards has...somthing where they send you a check, you cash it and it activates the credit protector on your account.

but anyways, has anyone ever used this type of thing on citi or any kind of card?

it might pay your minimium balence,you would have to call and prove your loss of work - I am positive there is a catch,citibank is a leagalized loansharks

I'm sure if they defer your payments, the interest will keep accruing
