Since my system in my car is complete, my brother sugested that I look in to getting satillite radio. I'm thinking why not , but don't know much about it. My head unit is a Kenwood Excelon so it is Cirrus and HD radio ready. Would I need to buy anything to get hooked up? Does anybody have any info or experience that would be helpful in getting the best hookup and performance? It all sounds like a neat thing to have, any info would be helpful. Thanks!

I heard ZM has much better channels. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

On a serious note, you will need a Sirius tuner which will plug in to the back of your head unit, then you will need to run the antenna to somewhere it can get a signal.

Then you pay for your service and you are good to go, pretty simple. I have been thinking about adding Sirius to my car and get ready to pull the plug but just cant get myself to pay for radio when I get FM free and 98% of my driving is to MP3's already.

Hope that helps, you should be able to find the Sirius tuner for about $50 or so on ebay, I may actually have one at the bottom of my closet brand new in the box if you are interested I can try and dig it out.

ZM is actually XM

XM > Sirius -- as on OTR driver, I enjoyed the programming available on XM radio MUCH BETTER than Sirius...XM's equipment is also smaller and more diverse for the automotive industry. If you have a radio for yor car, XM allows you to log in to their website, with the same radio ID#, and listen to in your home on the pc--streaming Audio isnt the best sound..but it's Free with your subscription! They, XM, also have a deal with Napster for downloading Music.

Same shit...you can say what you want, I listened to both for 8 hrs/day 5 days a week for over 2 years...same ****ing shit...

You like Football/Basketball/Stern, go Sirius, you like Baseball/Hockey/Opie and Anthony, go XM.
