I wish there was a list of the ones closing so I could find one near me.

Just type your zip code into the store locator on there website. If you know about a store and it doesn't show up on the list, then its closed.

To know if your local circuit city is closing, go to http://www.circuitcity.com and do a store search. If the store doesn't show up, then it's going to be closing. There are a lot of stores in Georgia, Florida, and the Phoenix area closing.

I don't bet...
I bet target and BB will do fine.

target may have to downsize a little, but best buy has pretty good online sales i think, which will help them. circuit city did well on ebay i thought. the deep discount is circuit city i think.

i will bet BB downsizes a bit at least as well. 5 years ago they did a 550 store increase and they were talking about how their numbers were "shifting" back then with the new stores and how they were going to possibly be closing some old locations......also I do not see the normal 50 BB commercials during football games anymore either

there is one near my house, i think. and if its closing, i want to check out what they have left.

they'll advertise like crazy locally, if they have a closeout sale. you won't be able to miss it.

its not good when people lose jobs. this will just worsen the economy, sure the numbers won't be as great as during a depression...but families will hurt regardless.

circuit city has been down for awhile now. we'll see alot of companies that are on the verge of bankruptcy, fold up before january. it's a strategic exit plan.
