Chrome paint

hey a customer want a speaker box thant looks like chrome. what is some good ways to make MDF look like chrome? anybody ever try this????
This is a difficult thing to do, and have it not only come out good, but last. Please, please, please don't try the auto parts store chrome paint if you are going to sell it to someone - it will look fake and scratch super easy! If it was me, I would bondo the box, sand it perfect, seal it, and primer it with a good automotive 2-part primer. Then sand it until it is perfect again (the finish here is what will make the chrome flawless). Spend a TON of time getting these steps done right - make sure there are NO imperfections. Then you can spray with a QUALITY chrome paint, such as that available from ALSA corporation. I wouldn't go with anyone else! Follow their recommendations for applying that paint - there are even videos on their site. If you need help in getting the ALSA paint, let me know, I might be able to help.

Really though, if you are building this for a customer, you will definitely be unhappy with the results from the cheap auto parts store stuff.

Hope this doesn't discourage you, but help you out!!

I painted it with spay paint it looks cool. but it is only a $120 box so I can't be paying alot for paint.. but I am looking into some other paint systems, they got some cool stuff out.
