There are about 10,000 gods on record ranging from monotheistic deities to groups of gods charged with the sun, the rain, the moon, fertility, et al... all within one religion or another.But in the end, all deities and the cults that grow from their invention are merely constructs of the human unconscious and the fears/bigotries within it. And most importantly, they're an impediment to human progress that needs to become nothing more than an embarrasing part of our deep, dark, sinful past. ;-)</blockquote>
