thnx for the fast responses! yes i want the chimes. 04 Chevy Avalanche 4x4 Z71 5.3l engine (hope this helps) the gmos-04 does not have its own speaker. maybe the new ones do but mine is a year old and does not. the rca going to it only transfers the output from the aftermarket hu through to the stock amp. it can only output from the hu. the hu gets the RAP and batt, ground from the unit as well. these are the only connections except the trigger wire (assumed to turn stock amp on) that the hu and the gmos-04 have. the gmos-04 connects to the stock harness for the data II. i did have this hooked up before i got amps and new speakers. it would work with the hu off. which means at least to me that the data II gets its power from somewhere else. eg: key left in ignition with the door open in off position. the hu is off but the chimes work to let you know the key is in the ignition. so yes i am trying to cennect this back but without any tie in to the hu at all. i was thinking if it needs power i can connect the RAP line to the trigger line and it would at least have power as long as the key is on. thnx
