Hi all, im hoping someone here can help me. i have a bose system with no on-star that im trying to get the chimes working without connecting the gmos-04 to the hu. i have changed all in the system, speakers, hu, amps. i want to connect a speaker under the dash for the chimes only. connecting said speaker to the stock amp at the drivers door (where the chimes come from) and using the gmos-04 to get the chimes from the data buss II. is this possible? im thinking it is. from what i can understand the only connection to the stock amp is the trigger wire from the after market hu. this im guessing turns the amp on to get chimes. what i dont understand is how the chimes work when the hu is off. where is the power coming from? or does the amp even need to be on to get chimes. i have tried connecting the stock speaker to the drivers door, with the gmos-04 connected but with out the trigger wire and get no chimes.. does anyone have any idea how to do this? im being told by a car audio shop its possible! i dont want to fry anything, and dont wish to pay another $100 or so for another adapter! help tia Dan
