The first time I ever heard of Cadence was at a car show back in 1993. There was a demo van there with 12 12's doing hair tricks. (Lots of girls with big hair back then.) That's back when you either ran Rockford or JL.

Just for the hell of it..... i bought one of those opti1537d's yesterday. and i didn't pay anywhere near 500 bux for it. it should be here next thursday.

the **** thing weighs approx 83 pounds. (95lbs in the shipping crate)..lol

if the sub turns out to be awsome. i will buy another....( but ,how could a 4" coil not be awsome? hopefully it has a 8 or more layer flatwind..)...

i figure if the subs blows up from shotty soft parts.. i can always send them to splaudio and have him work some magic.

the cadence and lanzar look almost the same cosmeticaly .. the differences are mainly the soft parts..

cadence- triple laminated foam surround

lanzar - rubber surround.

cadence- kevlar reinforced woven fiberglass cone

lanzar- paper- fiberglass compound cone

cadence Fs - 35hz

lanzar- Fs-33hz ( specs say it should drop another 5hz after breaking it in)... 28hz = good?

cadence- not field reconable

lanzar- is field reconable ( i have not found factory recones)

anyhow... i will post pics when it shows up thursday..

Awesome, sounds sick. I would think that the low Fs would be fun but you'll see I guess. Corey has worked some magic on a few of my subs.

the voice coil looks to be a flat wind. not sure what layer... i wish those little carbon fiber vents would pop off so i could get a good pic of the coil... or i could always unbolt everything a take the whole cone out... lol naaaa. not right now....

the suround on the lanzar wesite showed it was smooth. it wasnt supposed to "ribbed" ...but oh well....mount it inverted..lol

it weighs 81.75lbs by itself.....

Where did you buy yours from? It differs from most of the pictures I have seen of them so far.
