IT should be enforced on modified muffler noise, too, I totally agree.

Up here in Canada, those crappy farting Harley type muffler modifications are popular on the types of cars that often have subwoofers, too, unfortunately.

Any nuisance noise should be targetted.

**** cops. here the limit is 15 feet, technically... I know all of the cops both city and county and none of them bother me unless its at some rediculous hour, then they just tell me to turn it down. no tickets, no nothing. now, for someone who doesn't know everyone around here, I think the ticket is 250 and on the third one its a 1000 dollar fine and the take your shit.

oh, I also have a cruiser (harley style) bike. its a honda but.... that just means it doesn't break down as often.

I have straight pipes on it, no one has ever complained to me. I love it, and it sounds great, and yep, its loud as hell. but, my tax money payed for the roads as much as anyone else on here, so I have my right to do as I please while on it.

i usually pump down the street too. i guess sometimes at night i have it up, but not too long, i only have a stock alternator. my volts drop. i don't really have much buisness out past 9:30 or so, i'm not really a late boomer. and i wouldn't be hittin' in the early a.m. for sure. common courtesy, and lots of people with guns 'round here.

we got that in my city too. Our noise ordinance law is very drastic, only 10 FEET! then you get ticketed. Luckily we don't get our systems confiscated, we only get a $100 ticket
