Had a polk psw10 laying around. Sounded like poop on anything relatively low.

Had an alpine type e laying around (free at bestbuy), added a $30 sealed 1 cube enclosure from sonic and bam 10000x better! Ridiculous that polk even designed such a piece of **** sub and enclosure

I'll eventually jig out a spot for the amp in the enclosure and screw it down.

I typically do not use those types of enclosure for HT any more. Once you build your own using the power you want and the driver you want, it is just hard to go back to the old "you didn't know better" way.

The enclosure was the only thing I bought. $30 shipped and here in two days. for $30 this is crazy legit, the sub was free and amp was free. obviously not like my two 12's but you shoulda heard the polk enclosure sounded terrible

Polk spent all that time designing that gay plastic ported box and it just sounded like ****

Well I was referring to the Polk being something I could not buy any longer. Getting the E for free is not a bad setup at all. I use a "custom" HDC3 for my HT setup on a 500 watt O audio bash amp. It does ok for what it is I guess.

Yea, they are not the only ones that do that. Many companies focus on looks over performance even in HT setups which is the only that looks over function do not work what so ever.

Ah. I see what you mean. Yeah polk is wack.. some of their higher end speakers are alright.

I was looking at bash plate amps. Not feeling like spending any money on home subs though this one provides me a surprising amount of bass at my desk
