I'll be switching car in less than 6 months so getting a high output alt is def out of question. I'll put one in my next car for sure But for now, I'm pushing what's in my sign and since i've change my amp (old one was a bxi1606d) i'm getting a lot of volt drop when tilting hard . Nothing anormal on a 70amp alt with a cheap but big walmart battery (can't remember what but like 650cca and 800ca). When car is on, the voltage is aruond 14v +/- but it can drop in the low 11 volt when really bumping... which keep me worried about my amp.... but i ain't letting drop like that for more than a second. I got a voltmeter on dash and i keep my eyes on it. Are those drop, even if they last fraction of second then goes back to around 14v really bad for my system??? i don't want to blow my amp with low voltage. If i was gonna buy another battery like mine (at wal mart around 80$ ish) would i get smaller drop (less dangerous)??? like i said, for now alt is out of question since the car is in its last miles... and i don't want to spend alot on a battery... i'm in canada where every **** things cost like 3x your price and shipping a battery is out of question.... Also i'm pretty tire to start the car just to listen some music in parking... just incase i'm emptying an non-deep cylce battery thank you
