Cheap PowerBase Dual 10" Setup

Hey guys, this is for a friend of mine who wants some bass on a budget. How will these two subs: PowerBase

Fair on 500wRMS from this Kenwood amp?

They'll be in a 2.4 ft^3 box tuned to 33Hz.

Those two DVC subs can be wired to a single 2 ohm load right?

Would my friend be more happy with a single RSD10D or RSD12D + 500wRMS @ 2ohms in a ported enclosure?

I like the amount of cone area with the PB's, but I'm not sure how they'll perform on 500wRMS and if they'll even be worth it over a single 10 or 12 RSD.

What do you guys think?

(2) dual 4 ohm vc subs would present a 1 ohm or 4 ohm final load. Thats about as much help as I can give you.

well its a sub 200 dollar system , I have read that the powerbass get pretty loud for the price.

Seems like a good first sytem, when many around here spend more on just the woofer, its hard to compare, but it shoudl get loud and provide some solid bass, it is gonna be dependent on enclosure and vehicle almost as much as equipment. Looks good.

Try 3.0 tuned to 32 hertz for those. That box you wanted for them is a bit small for ported. My Black Series 12 liked 1.6 tuned to 32 a lot, so that's right around where those Chromes should be. They aren't much different from the Blacks.

Also, any good 2 channel would work, as you'd have a 4 ohm final load. As long as you can give them 500 minimum, they will work very well as a budget setup.
