im thinking of going with this and two RD studio 15"s , what do i need to take into account for when doing the enclosure for the house ? tune low ? fire into corner ? i need something for all around testing mp3's and home theatre
is this a house? you would piss off some people in an apartment, inside is a whole different story than a car, 500w will get plenty loud in a med sized living room, i run a 12" on 175w for my computer and it will knock shit off the shelves next floor up
lol . . yea for a house , so we can get as loud as we want , what have you seen thats efective as far as enclosures , im thinking kina simple , was looking at TL's but looks a little complicated , maybe just low tuned slot ? or wut u think ?
get a couple mj18 and run them infinite baffle or just use huge ported enclosures, like 12 cubes per woofer tuned 15-20hz, home theater right? pick up some dayton or behringer amps from parts express
Go to hometheatershack and do some reading. I run 15" RL-P's in 10 cubes each at 18Hz and off 400watts each they're quite impressive. 12Hz movie scenes beat my house to death...
WMD was selling their 18" sub for $200 a few weeks ago(not sure if the sale is still going), slap a 500-1000 watt amp on one of those and it would work rather well
