Chassy grounding location

i have both my amps wired to the same spot in the cargo area. i drilled a hole in the floor and ran a bolt through after scratching the paint off. the thing is that the floor metal seems kinda thin. im wondering does it make a difference whether you groung it to 1/8" thick sheet metal, or would it be better to groung to something more substantial?

anyone? should i ground direct to the frame, or run a cable from the battery negative maybe ?

so u drilled scrapped cleaned and used a star washer ? aslong as u get no noise and u like the outcome u good to go. but u should test the ground point with ur dmm b4 u drill and put down.

Or you could run a very thick wire from your negative on the battery to the back, but thats more of a hassle...the wire should be thick to do this.
