Chain or shaft driven bicycles?

Anyone have an opinion on either one? I'm in Okinawa and it is obviously easier to travel on a bicycle than in a car when you are traveling less than 5 miles.

I'm looking at buying of these folding bicycles:

I'm leaning towards the shaft driven bicycle, but I don't have any experience with it. Anyone have any thoughts?
