I just aquired a 12" cerwin vega stroker the special d2 edition, when I hooked it up and turned up the volume it sounds like the sub is farting at high volume, Im wanting to know if this is common for these subs or do I need to adjust the center piece up or down? Or is the sub screwed?

im running a ultimate T3 1000d on it right now so like not even a full 1000 to it, but i dont understand the whole center piece, do I adjust it higher or lower, I just dont get it lol

iirc you aernt even supposed to touch that peice, its for adjusting where the cone sits with no power, I cant remember the term. You need some sort of tool to measure it. After a long time or abuse the cone can sag from worn sorround, so its kinda in farther than when new. It might be beat and need a recone

it has a brand new recone, I just wanted to know where it is suppose to sit? is it suppose to be higher or lower? and does 2.7ft^3 net volume with 48sq" of port 17.75" long sound good for it?

I might just want to get rid of because I dont understand it properly

port area seems small, also does the box
so what should I build then? this sub is totally new to me I cant find any specs or even write ups on box size or port tuning?

and again does anyone know where the middle of the sub is suppose to sit on the shaft? Is it suppose to be higher on it or lower?

PLEASE HELP:D
