Item(s) for Sale:

Cerwin Vega Stroker 15" D4

Item(s) Description/Condition:

Designed for fast and easy field-replacement of soft parts in comps. Remove the top machine bolts and the trim ring can be then removed and the surround, coil, and spider pack can come right out and replaced with new (similar to newer HCCA's and other quick-change designs).

HUGE sub in very good condition. I only metered the coils and bench tested it with a sweeping sine wave to make sure the suspension travel was cool - it is.

It's marked as a D2 but the original soft parts-pack must have been replaced with the current D4.

There are no issues (cosmetically or mechanically) except for 1 of the 12 trim ring holes is stripped, which could be repaired with a nut-sert or re-tap. It has no affect on the functionality aspect of the sub and it's ready for heavy use now.

I bought it off eBay and it was listed as "new / other". It didn't come with a manual, so I can only post up an incomplete list of T/S #'s from an unofficial source. I would suggest getting it tested before building an enclosure for it. The specs below are for both the 15D2 and 15D4 versions:

Stroker 152/154 Thiele-Small Parameters

Free-Air

Resonance: fs 30.0 Hz 31.5 Hz

Total Q: Qts 0.89 0.94

Electrical Q: Qes 0.97 1.03

Comp.Vol.: Vas 3.20 ft3 3.20 ft3

Max. Excursion: Xmax 29 mm 29 mm

Voice Coil

DC Resistance: Revc 2 x 1.55 Ω 2 x 3.5 Ω

(0.165 ft3) (0.165 ft3)

Nominal Impedance: 2 x 2 Ω 2 x 4 Ω

Sensitivity: 86.0dB 86.26dB

As far as power, I would think that it could easily take 1500-2000 daily without breaking a sweat.

From what I hear, they like large ported boxes.

That's really all I know about it. If you're serious about possibly buying it, but need more relevant info, I'll do my best to answer. Keep in mind, just because I stroke off all the time, that doesn't necessarily mean I'm a "Stroker Expert" and really know nothing more than what's already been stated.
