CDT vs. Rainbow

I'm torn here and ready to throw down cash for new comps. You guys have any suggestions, pros/cons on these items?

Are these a good deal? I have a RF T400-4

The ES-620Z is a big step up from the 620 set you linked. It has a better tweeter & x/over (w/ a lower/ more suitable x/o point) for an extra $50 its tough to beat @ its price point. Better yet would be to PM exige & see if he can't do you better within your budget.

I haven't heard the Rainbows, but considering the mixed opinions, I'd have a hard time believing they were a better buy.

Never heard the SLC's, but I will say that the Rainbow CMX components I installed in a Subaru are some of my favorite 2-way components that I have heard to this day. Definitely see what kind of deals you can find on some nice Rainbows before committing. I absolutely would love to run some more of their stuff, just to try out more of them. I have heard a few sets of CDT components(although not those specific ones, and I am running some CL-61a's right now), and would try HARD to find something from Rainbow before touching CDT if I could.

I have heard the SLCs but not the SLC kicks. I had the three way version and I thought they were nice.

The Es620's are really nice sounding comps, they are the Eurosport series wich is CDT's highest series. Killer midbass and ultra smooth tweeters.

PM 6spdcoupe. He can tell you the difference between the Rainbows and Morels. Dunno about the CDTs.

When I started my search for new speakers I asked the same question your asking now. But I ended up going with Image Dynamics over either one. So that is what I am going to recommend.

They stink I used them in my sisters car thinking it will help with the bass response if anything it hurt it. I don't recommend them.

Why does'nt anyone ever recommend Phoenix Gold Comp Ti's??? They are in the same price range.
