CDT CL v. CDT EF...worth it?

hey all, so my final decision for my next set of comps is between CDT CL-61As http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4418

and the EF-61FGs http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3341

now obviosly the the better of the two are the EFs but ym question is is it worth the extra $50 bux...any body have experience with these 2? i have 120 watts to work with...comments?

important note to remember the CLs come with the upgraded tweeter from teh EFs...so if i bought the EFs all i would be getting different would be the cones

If you MUST go with CDT, go with the EF's.The CL mids are garbage.The EF's are at least bearable.The difference isn't HUGE but it is there.

thank u, and they may be garbage to certin people but there are pleanty of people on this thread who would disagree with u...and for what i am looking for, both of these fit the regiment

CL- is not garbage...is very descent u can find a lots of posts here talking very positive about the CL series But just like Mountaineer Man said go EF to get best sound quality. I guess it all depends on the type of music you listen to.With what I listen to, I'd prefer the mids. not to sound like they have a pillow in front of them.I like them to be clear, but different strokes for different strokes.

If you listen to rap, just buy the CL's and think they're good like so many others.

Go with the Cl61a with upgraded 25Pro tweeters, my bother is using these and they sound incredible, i am using the regular Cl61 and they sound great but the upgrade on the tweeter to the 25pro is very noticalbe.

I would personally first go with the Cl61 with Pro25 tweeter then with the Ef61FG then the Cl61 with the 24 tweeter.

I know it's the raging boner around here, but I tend to think there's better than CDT.

I mean, they're OK, but...

There are better brands than cdt, but it also depends on your taste. CDT are a mellow speaker. Why dont you buy the new CDT CL62 set? It already has the tw-25 tweeter and satnet 480 crossover... Also when looking into the EF line, instead of the FG, may want to look at the CF model if you like a little harder midrange. Price is about the same. BTW The EF has a much better midrange and mid bass than the CLs.
